Laksalicious in George Town has garnered widespread acclaim for its distinctive Nyonya-style Assam Laksa, praised for its balanced tamarind broth with complex sour, tangy, and mildly sweet flavors. Customers frequently highlight the restaurant’s concise yet well-curated menu, with both food and desserts receiving notable commendations for quality and presentation. The Laksa Mojito and unique prawn crackers stand out as popular accompaniments, adding to the overall dining experience. The venue is appreciated for its comfortable, air-conditioned ambiance and attentive service, though some feedback points to minor inconsistencies such as noodle preferences and occasional oiliness in fried items. Despite parking challenges, Laksalicious is regarded as a must-visit destination for authentic Malaysian laksa with a refined twist.

Came here randomly due to the high Google reviews. Didn't realise it was a bib goumand addition in 2025 until I saw the sign outside. Fairly small but concise menu. Assam laksa is the star of the show. We paid about 80myr for 2x nyonya laksa lemak, 1x nyonya laksa lemak Sui, a Laksa mojito, Gula melacca coffee and a homemade ginger tea. Ordered 2x lai fun thin noodles but they all came the same size. Not a massive deal though. Tasty broth, could have done with some meat or something in the laksa dish as I was hungry just a few hours after eating it, but the quality is great. The laksa mojito was also really good. One of the best Assam laksa dishes we had on our trip.

Best laksa in Georgetown. The desserts are also excellent. Often desserts are an afterthought, but they've really excelled in their presentation. Drinks are also brilliantly thought through. All in all, great concept and excellent execution. Well deserving of their Michelin 2025 award. Give it a try...if parking allows!!

Very happy with the ambience of the place and the food. Place was air con and we were ushered upstairs where many tables were available. Noise level was acceptable as many patrons were talking softly. Food came fast and the Assam laksa was delicious. The laksa came with a delicious cracker which tasted like expensive Japanese prawn crackers from the supermarket. It gave the crunch and paired well with the sourish soup. Here, prawn paste was separated and it was up to you to add the amount you liked. An advice to the foreigners: do add the prawn paste for the “kick” to this dish. In fact it is a must for me. Perhaps a small complaint to the dish was there wasn’t much fish added. Another must try were the desserts. We tried the chendol and sago and both were highly recommended. We were impressed how we could taste the sago beads individually! It was also good that the coconut milk and gula melaka were separated so customers have a choice of the sweetness level. Unfortunately we’ll be leaving Penang tomorrow so we couldn’t try the other version of laksa nor the other side dishes (eg crispy chempedak rolls). Don’t make the same mistake as us: order as much as you can eat

We came here for a quick lunch as it was near our hotel. We ordered the Assam Laksa, cendol, sago gula Melaka and cold coffee. Here's my overall experience. Food - the Assam Laksa was different from what I am used to. It didn't taste sour or spicy but mildly sweet and it had a creamy texture. Perhaps it's the Nyonya style of cooking. The cendol and sago gula Melaka were within expectations. The cold coffee wasn't great. Service - the food and desserts were served quickly after we placed our order. One of our plates had a cracked edge but it didn't bother us as we only noticed it after the meal. Nothing exceptional other than that. Atmosphere - the place was not designed for hanging around longer than a meal time but it was expected so nothing extraordinary.

Loved the Asam Laksa and Laksa Mojito! The tamarind broth in the laksa is absolutely delicious, beautifully balanced with sour, tangy, and salty notes. The Laksa Mojito was a total surprise and standout, it’s refreshing with a real wow factor. I’ve never had anything like it before! The prawn fritters were wonderfully crisp and delightful when hot, though they did get a little oily as they cooled. I want to try the Lemak Laksa, but no tummy space for it, definitely looking forward to trying it next time! One heads-up: the café is right by the roadside, so parking can be a bit tricky

So glad I discovered Laksalicious on this Penang trip—definitely one of my top 3 eats!* The cendol was super satisfying, and their asam laksa hit all the right notes for me: not too spicy, really flavourful, fragrant… honestly a perfect 10. With so many laksa options in Penang, theirs truly stands out from the rest I’ve tried. The crispy cracker that comes with it? So fragrant and adds the perfect crunch. Couldn’t resist trying their *signature laksa mojito* too—a refreshing mix of cucumber, pineapple, mint, lemongrass, and lime. Surprisingly good and just the right balance. This is a spot I’d totally recommend to friends and family heading to Penang!
